About the artist

Hi. My name is Ally. I live in Langkawi Island, Malaysia, with my husband and five lovely dogs. I am a self-taught artist. I've developed my career as an abstract art painter during the Covid-19 pandemic by doing commissions for custom acrylic paintings and working as an online preschool teaching assistant. My motivation for making art is to illustrate my experience as a child growing up close to nature. Selling my art simply helps me have the funds to work fewer hours at my part-time job so I can focus on my art. There isn’t any specific style in my artwork. Using mainly acrylic paints, I love to experiment with different techniques like pouring, splattering, dabbing, palette knives, underpainting and so on. I also love making abstract portraits that incorporate both vibrant and colourful colours; it reflects today's life in its entirety from the hustle and bustle of both cities to the calmness, serene of nature.

Why I use Canvy

Canvy has been a game changer for me. My work has always been so difficult to get into the right space for display, and now it’s super easy. I can give my clients a digital display of how the artwork would look in a space that is similar to theirs, and it has definitely helped me gain more business. It also helps interior designers and corporate art buyers to visualize what the artwork would look like in different settings. I love this app, it’s easy to use, has tons of different features and rooms to choose from, and looks very professional. I highly recommend!
