About the artist

I’m an Earthy artist. I love the smell of wood fires and Incense, salty air and sea breezes, eucalypts, and bush. Living at Tuncurry (Australia) with my partner Russell means we are surrounded by beaches and tidal Lake Wallis. Russell’s traditional people’s country, the Biripi, and Worimi. A wealth of traditional lore to learn here. I enjoy taking the stand-up paddle out to watch the dolphins and stingrays that cruise the Lake. My time is my own now my family of five has left the nest. There is an unparalleled joy in creating daily. Working quickly in mixed media, inks, spray paint, and acrylics, and refining with oils. I explore the imagery/themes that come to me, my musings on the light and shade of life. My main focus is portraiture, in an abstract realism approach. I bring all of me to the easel, mind, heart, and soul. In 2018 I was asked to do a series of portrait murals for the Waminda Aboriginal Women’s Health and Welfare Centre. To date, I’ve completed 13 boards of Elders and Women of the community in Nowra. It was a rewarding experience!
